Mudrooms, entryways, toy rooms, laundry rooms, ANY room with high traffic or kids and pets running around. You need a floor that can withstand a lot.
Thankfully, in 1872, chemist Eugen Baumann invented vinyl, and it was presented to the public in floor form at the 1933 Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago. As they say, the rest is history.
Now we have all kinds of vinyl flooring St. Louis to fit any kind of style, taste, and design.
In the 1960’s you could find marvelous flower patterns to checkerboard styles in groovy colors. Then came the 70’s, and we started seeing new incarnations of vinyl, including something that KINDA looked like wood, luxury vinyl plank, as well as luxury vinyl tile.
Fast forward to today, and there is a slew of vinyl floor types, for both Standard and Luxury vinyl flooring.
Vinyl Tile Flooring is exactly as it sounds, vinyl flooring in tile form. It consists of individual squares that, when assembled, look like stone tile. A huge benefit of tiles is when one gets damaged, you don’t have to replace the entire floor. You can also mix and match patterns if you’re feeling frisky.

This type of flooring minimizes the number of seams, for an even and consistent look. A big benefit is that it’s great for high-moisture areas, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and mudrooms.
