Restoring the Original Hardwood Floors
One of the first phases of this St. Louis flooring renovation focused on restoring the original hardwood flooring in the living room.
Rather than replacing the existing hardwood, our team carefully sanded and refinished the floors, bringing new life to the wood while preserving the craftsmanship and warmth that make mid-century modern homes so special.
Before refinishing began, we also reinforced the flooring system below to help reduce floor squeaks and creaking. Addressing movement beneath the floor creates a more solid feel underfoot while improving the long-term performance of the flooring. It’s one of those details homeowners immediately notice, even if they never see the work itself.
To complete the room, we installed custom flush-mounted hardwood floor vents, stained to perfectly match the surrounding flooring. These subtle details create the seamless appearance that complements the clean lines and natural materials found throughout mid-century modern design.

Yoga Room & Home Office
Designed as a peaceful retreat, the yoga room and office features Shaw Anderson Tuftex Laken in Tide Pool.
Its calming color and subtle texture create a relaxing environment that’s equally suited for wellness, productivity, and everyday living.
A Statement-Making Herringbone Hallway
One of the standout features of this renovation is the custom hardwood installation throughout the hallways.
Our installers created a stunning herringbone pattern using Mirage Escape Collection Galena Red Oak Brushed engineered hardwood.

One of our favorite parts of this project wasn’t simply installing beautiful flooring. It was collaborating with the homeowner and interior designer to create a home where every design decision worked together.

To further unify the design, the walls, ceilings, and trim in each renovated room were painted to coordinate with the carpet selections. These thoughtful details create a seamless transition from room to room while highlighting the unique textures, colors, and materials throughout the home.
